You drive too fast Mom, believe me,
But you've heard that for years it seems,
I saw you today at "Dunn Edwards",
Or did you steer into my dreams?
I'll meet you tomorrow at "Goodies",
We'll taste a sweet pastry, or two,
Peach pie is fresh there and waiting,
Your favorite, along with a few.
And there's the lamp sale at Barker's,
Buy one and get one, I believe,
But please don't go 'till I get there,
It wouldn't be fun if you leave.
I know you're going to love Sunday,
We'll go for a ride just for thrills,
Looking at lavish, large houses,
In Westwood and Beverly Hills.
I saw you today near the building,
Driving by in your red Edsel car,
I moved quickly and threw you my kisses,
But you had driven away too far. |
