The little sounds have disappeared,
Gone forever now,
But when it's very quiet,
They return again somehow.
Return to play as they did before,
So many years ago,
Where Barbies live and Tonka Toys,
And only children know.
The little sounds have disappeared,
Within my memory,
But often in my loneliness,
They return again to me.
Those treasured sounds my children made,
Or was it really noise?
Their love endures to comfort me,
Now quiet--hear their toys? |
