Written:
I'm crossing the country on horseback,
But not to win applause,
I'm simply out here trying
To help a worthy cause.
I know the pain of cancer,
Losing a leg at eight,
Thankful to God and medicine,
I live to celebrate.
But what about the others,
Those who fight and die,
Because we lack the money,
To find out how and why.
Since one in four will get it,
Somewhere on the way,
Perhaps the gift we're giving,
Will save that life some day.
Together we're a stronger team,
Together there's an answer,
Come share the ride for life with me,
Together we'll beat cancer. |
